rj, Mark them down as they happen. You may be able to pinpoint the reason for the sudden or expected attack. Try the anxiety test and bring a copy to your doctor. This may help better assess the situation for you both. Try the relaxation techniques mentioned, they may help you get a more rested sleep. Hope this helps, Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Hello! In my opinion, even though you are asleep before this happens and couldn't technically be thinking about something to cause the panic, I would say yes it is a premeditated thought. Only because it happens every day at the same time, which tells me it has become a sort of habit. That would mean that your subconcious is geared up to do this whether you are aware of it or not. So, I would say yes. Mark it as expected. I always notice that when I stop to think about my own attacks, it's 99.9% of the time brought on by a thought. Hope that helps! ;)

I typically get my panic attacks in the middle of the night. I'm struggling with how to log them in the Panic Attack Form. Since I was asleep moments before the attack you could argue that the attack was "unexpected" However, since I've been regularly having 3AM attacks, it could be expected as well? What would you recommend? Also, same situation, I woke up at 3AM and had a panic attack. Was this panic attack triggered by a situation or a thought? I just woke up, but I could have had an automatic though "gee, is my heart going to start racing again"? So, do I say Yes (triggered) or No? Thanks
