We beat ourselves up,and my friend Gina brings up a greatr point if we truly do not love yourself than how can you get better..She was blessed to meet a panic survior, and there is a ton of them out there my mom,my grandparents before they passed, and my Aunt..You must find what works for you..My Grandpa said Devil i m not going to let you win anymore became a dvote Christian..My Grandma, and Aunt both fought like Gina is talking about fighting with cbts, and love.. My mom is still on pills but was housebound as a kid i remeber, now in a factory talks to everyone the best human on earth bare none..Paxil is what she takes, she needs meds...may God let us find what works for us.. outlaw

I am so glad someone touched on this aspect of anxiety! I have been spending a lot of time trying to dig deep and figure out what's really the underlying cause of this anxiety problem for me, and you just nailed a big part of it. Our minds have become cluttered with constant thoughts of what we should be doing better, different, faster, etc that we end up not liking ourselves - and especially not LOVING ourselves. I have never really loved myself . Of course with most things, I can trace that back to my childhood. But I know I really do deserve to love me - I am a good person, I do good things. I need to get to the point where I recognize how worthwhile I am and how I do not need to be perfect - I think that leads to a TON of anxiety when your mind is (as mine is) CONSTANTLY working to figure out what I should be doing, where I should be, what I should be like, what needs fixing, who needs me. Thanks for pointing this out for us Gina.

It's so good to hear that someone had panic attacks but doesn't anymore. That gives me so much hope! I'm glad her thoughts and her self talk was able to help her break free of the panic. Funny how thoughts can do so much to our entire emotional system. I'm glad you're having a good day!!!
