I think it takes time to find the 'right' medication -- I started with Zoloft, and then went on to Celexa and Effexor and now am back on Zoloft 200mg a day...and it has helped, aside from the minor side effects -- and the Klonopin works well as well...makes me sleepy as well....

I take 75 mg of Zoloft daily. When I first started on the Zoloft, I started very slowly and had some feelings of nausea. Just enough to not want to eat (and lose a few pounds) but not bad enough to make me really sick. As the nausea got better, I increased the dose and got nausea again. Once I was on my maintance dose for a week or so, it disappeared and now I have no noticeable side effects. It has really helped me. Of course, everyone reacts different. If the side effects are too much, talk to your dr. about changing your medication.
I also take Klonopin. I took it nightly .5 mg for about a month or a little longer. Now I only take it as needed (about once a month.) When I was taking it daily it make me very sleepy. The first few times I took it, I slept within an hour of taking it. (I was taking it at night so no problem). After a few weeks that effect got better. It did still help me sleep but did not put me to sleep.
Hi Jessica. I have had anxiety since I was in grade school. Most of the time I did not take any meds because I was too scared of the sideeffects. I am so glad that I decided to go on meds because I have been feeling great on my Prozac, believe Im not saying its cures you 100% but my life has improved a lot. I do have my bad days but I noticed I have a lot more better days. Keep in mind though if the Zoloft dosen't work, try something else. I have tried paxil,zoloft,lexapro, and effexor, but I have had the best results from Prozac but my bf is on Zoloft and its really helped here. Good luck.

I take Zoloft (200mg a day) and Klonopin (0.25mg twice a day). I see the difference. The side effects I felt were: dry mouth, stomach troubles, weight gain/loss, and a low libido.
When I read the information for the Klonopin I was surprised to see that it was used for seizures as well. But I think it works well with the Zoloft for me.
You should speak with your doctor or pharmacist as you are concerned.

hope everyone is well. well today i finally got meds. i was given zoloft and klonopin. i think thats how u spell it. well i just wanted to know if anyone knows of any side effects.i am so scared because i saw that klonopin can cause seizures or is for seizures. which is my number one fear to have. well if anyone can enlighten me that would be helpful. thanks....
