I tried the med a while back and i can't remember the results i got off of it...i see that you used to take clonazapem..i was on that too for five years but had an addiction problem with it...i think the way everybody tolerates medication is different...anyway i hope that you have succeess with this new med and do well...

Amitritptyline is classified as a tricyclic antidepressant. It is a very commonly used medication.
If you have had problems in the past changing medication, I can understand why you would be hesitant to switch again. Your prescibing doctor knows you best so be sure to relay your concerns to him/her. The pharmacist is also a great resource for information on this medication.

my dr is changing my medication from clonazapam to this one. ive been having nightmares every night and the one im on now isnt working as well. is there anyone here who knows anything about it. im really apprehensive about changing to something different since i tried zoloft and paxil which my body wouldnt handle. please any info would be greatly appreciated. i will be taking 25 mg.
