Husband had to go back to 21 mg patch

Well I know my husband has been sneaking smokes. I haven't found the cigs or cigars but I found the matches in his coat pocket the other night. Last night he came home from work and I smelled smoke on his coat, this is an old coat that he has smoked in before, but the smell had faded quite a bit until last night. I told him his coat smelled like smoke so he takes it off and hangs it up and goes about his business. The main reason he has made me mad over his smoking is he will call me from work on his cell while he is outside smoking or he will stay late at work. I feel that if he wants to call me fine but finish the smoke first so I don't have to hear him smoking. I have already made up mind that I will stay quit no matter what. I just can't see the point in smoking any longer. I had to run out last night to get my 7mg patches so I can step down next week. Husband ask that I get him 21mg for 2 weeks. We both have been on the 14mg for about 3 weeks. But I would much rather see him go back to 21 and quit smoking again then stay a smoker. otis My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 808 Amount Saved: $160 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 1 Mins: 2 Seconds: 13

I have ask him to go to his doctor, but he said no. I don't understand why he is willing to pay extra money for the patches and have to start over and not go see his doctor since he has insurance. I will give him a little more time and suggest to him again to go and see his doctor. I think right now since he has been smoking he wants to try again to quit his way. Thanks everyone Otis

This is the danger of sneaking smokes. You go right back to where you were and start all over again. After a while, it's walking around in circles wondering why you aren't getting anywhere.
