An hour is a long time. Though no one ever died from a panic attack, I'm sure yours was rough. It might help you to review what you did and how your thoughts may have fed into it further to prolong it perhaps? None of us are therapists here. We can only suggest things to help yourself. I would suggest you take our free Anxiety test and print out the results. These can be taken to your doctor and will make discussion easier during your appointment. I would urge you to see your doctor or therapist again. Perhaps things have built up where they need reviewing and reassessing again. Wishing you all the best. We're here for you. -- Anne-Marie, Site Administrator

Hello: My name is Elaine and i live in Minneapolis, Mn USA. I have suffered from panic attacks since 92. I have now been off all meds over 2 years got tired of taking themTextTextTextTextText. It seems that my attacks may be coming back. I had one last week when I was walking my 7 year old to the library. It was a really intense one that lasted maybe 1 hour. . I did have one a few months ago in a car with a friend of mine going over to their house. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions about how to deal with these that just come form no where. I do have a son who has had 28 brain surgeries and this has been a source of stress for me and my family for 12 years. Thank You Elaine
