Two promises are better than one?? I don't know but I happen to like the idea of two promise threads, one for the holiday and one for the weekend in general. It's like a harness to catch you if your guests leave early and you have your 'weekend' to yourself earlier than you expected, or if you are the guest and you can't wait for the 'holiday' to be over with!
