First day of Autumn � 3 quarters of the way around the sun in my new smoke free skin�
I wanted to check in. I hope you all are doing fantastic.
Those who are just beginning this journey or who are still on shaky legs � hold on tight and don�t ever let go. There is light at the end of that tunnel and if you want it with all of your being, all of your heart, you WILL make it. Believe it.
I am training for my first marathon (26.2 miles for those counting). I�ve basically been training for this since I quit smoking. There is no way I could ever have accomplished this goal as a smoker and I will be very proud to have my first (of hopefully many) under my belt.
I thank all of you here for the help and hope I received from you.
Running and quitting smoking have some definitely similarities - just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Quitting smoking has saved my life. Running is rejuvenating my soul. Now if I could just find that girl who can put up with me ;)
