I am prouder of the fact that I haven't smoked in 100 days than I have been of anything that I have accomplished in a very long time. This site has made a tremendous difference in this quit....my FINAL quit. I learned how important protecting my quit was. I learned the importance of not taking even one puff. I learned the meaning of not smoking no matter how I felt. I finally learned to love myself enough to quit killing myself with nicotine. I am learning to feel my emotions and deal with them. I am learning to be honest in all of my endeavors and encounters with other human beings. It is still a struggle for me at times. I still crave a few times everyday. I still get sick of feeling the "nag" in the mornings or after work. But, I feel confident that I will not put a cigarette to my lips ever again. A big thanks to everyone who has responded to me on this forum. A big thanks to everyone who has identified with my struggles with the nicodevil and has given me that all important written encouragement. Also, thank you to all the mods who have dedicated their lives to helping others rid themselves of this horrible addiction. I look forward to the day when I can shout from the rooftops that I am truly a comfortable ex-smoker. Thanks again to all who have taken the time to reply to my posts.
