I agree with Mr. Ed. This morning I woke up, sat down in front of the computer to do some bills, got up for a cup of coffee, walked out on the deck and went looking for my cigarettes. A habit, muscle memory, conditioning, call it what you will. My memory triggered the urge for a smoke. I always went out for a smoke on the deck first thing in the morning. I did it for years and years. Been quit for 100+ days now and still I want to go do the things I always did. It's a memory. It's a habit. I can forget, and I can change. So can you but it will take time. I think I'll be working on this quit for a few years before I finally forget I was a smoker, if ever. So what. I'm tough enough to do that. Hang in there. I am. So is Mr Ed. Fairy, Hang on, it will pass. It seems to be quite common around 3 months, 6 months and a year. I'm just starting to see daylight after a 4 day crave. I wish it could be just like a switch you could turn off and never get bothered again! Read Lady's thread 'Pray for me' in 'avoiding relapse and slipping'. That should help talk you out of it and also keep you occupied for some time. Keep strong! :) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 99 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,982 Amount Saved: 247.5 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 20 Mins: 30 Seconds: 34

Serena, Great advice from the members! It is normal and it will pass, try not to dwell on it and use you coping mechanisms if you have to! Occupy yourself and watch it fade away! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
