This site was so,so,so,so needed. I have suffered with depression and anxiety for years. I known for about 25 years, but know I suffered long before that, just didn't know it then. I found this through the Stop Smoking Center. I'm new too. I know how you feel, Gail. I was afraid too. I'm still afraid of some people finding out, but so far the meds are helping me. I have troble with seeing people.
Dear Anne-Marie, Someone just emailed me this site. I'm so glad to have found it. There's some information here that I didn't know. I took the test and it seems to point to a problem.
I suspected all along that I had depression, but I've never been to a doctor about it. I'm hoping others will tell me how they coped with discovering this condition. I'm afraid of being on pills and whether they would affect my work performance. I'm also not wanting my family to find out. Could I lose my job over this? Will I gain weight on medication? Someone please help. I feel so alone right now. How did you handle all of it?
